Course Description: Corsets are one of the classic burlesque costume elements, but they can be a challenge to select and to wear. Let Miss Mina, an award-winning, internationally-ranked costumer and long-time corset-wearer, guide you through all aspects of corsetry. Students will learn a brief history of the garment, what to look for when buying a corset, secrets of making your own, how to properly wear a corset, how to remove it on-stage, corset care, and more. Get tight and look great!

Miss Mina Murray
After the job market for glamourous archaeologists dried up, Miss Mina Murray abandoned her Ivory Tower and turned to the art of the striptease. She is a co-founder of BeauTease Burlesque (formerly The Boston Babydolls) and the Headmistress of the Boston Academy of Burlesque Education (B.A.B.E.).
