Introducing Our New Spotlight Collection Class Packages: Spotlighting Diversity and Artistry

Thanks to recent years’ feedback from students, instructors, and facilitators, the Programming Committee is thrilled to present a revamped Virtual BurlyCon experience! Our intent with these new class packages is to explore the rich diversity of identities, cultural heritage, and multi-faceted, expansive pedagogy within the burlesque artform. 

Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to explore Spotlight classes featuring intentional liberatory content - such as Black Burlesque Educators, HERstory, and Latin Burlesque Educators - as well as specialized tracks in Movement, Stage Art, and more! Each series will give Virtual BurlyCon students a comprehensive learning experience that celebrates the unique contributions of our talented instructors, while simultaneously offering targeted opportunities to enhance your skills and artistry. Virtual BurlyCon instructors include internationally renowned burlesque celebrities, regional icons and contemporaries - as well as legends, living and passed.

HERstory Spotlight: Burlesque History

In alignment with BurlyCon’s revised pricing model*, our offerings reflect a “pay what you’re able” financial practice. We provide the opportunity for those who have the resources to pay for content in the higher tiers to do so, with 3 tiers offered for each series and individual class. This enables us to build in more equitable wages for instructors and staff, while continuing to offer lower tiered pricing and scholarships for students with access to fewer resources.

  • Once selected, you will be brought to the bundle or course page to select your pricing tier.
  • After selecting your pricing tier, you will be brought to the check-out page.
  • Here either sign-in with your existing account information or create a new account.
  • Submit your payment and access your learning from your Dashboard.
  • For new accounts, you will receive an email with additional information to access your Dashboard, the page where all your active courses live.
