Course Description: It's the 21st Century and it can be hard to recognize which online persona is genuine, and which is a scammer. This class will cover the basics in scam prevention, including how to recognize common scams. It will also look at specific instances of scams in burlesque including the Red Velvet Burlesque Revue (NOT Red Velvet the burlesque performer) and RAW: Natural Born Artists. We will also cover some tips on what to do if you are scammed. We are a shame-free class, it is not your fault for wanting to trust people and situations. An intro level class, or a great refresher for basic scam protection and response.

Irish Lashes

Irish Lashes is here to preposition you under, on top of, and between the gender spectrum as they take on the whiskey business of dismantling gender norms. From glitter beard to glitter tits, this two time graduate of Miss Indigo Blue's Academy of Burlesque can be found in the gray areas of society and social norms. Since 2000, they have been a regular costumer and wielder of gaff tape back of house. In 2018 they started producing burlesque shows focusing on neo-nerdlesque in marginalized communities. They are also a co-founder of 4 Leaf Puckduction with Mx. Pucks A'Plenty. These they/them femmes are committed to provide space for burlesque performers living in the margins and create shows/events that aren't looking for social justice cookies!
